  1. Privacy, Cookies and Data Protection Policy

1.1.   KNP Headwear Inc and its affiliates (collectively, “KNP Headwear Inc,” or “we,” “us,” “our”) address your concerns about personal data protection and value our relationship with you. This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through KNP Headwear Inc web sites, web pages, portals, interactive features, applications, email, widgets, blogs and their respective contents in third party sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin or other social networking sites (Collectively “Sites”) accessed via computer, mobile device or other electronic device (collectively, “Device”).

 

1.2.   This Policy describes the types of personal data we collect through the Sites and how that personal data may be used, handled and shared.  This Policy also describes how you can change and access of your Personal Data and control the use of these personal data we collect in connection with our marketing communications and activities.  Please read this Policy carefully, because by using the Sites you are acknowledging that you understand and agree to the terms of this Policy.

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe a newsletter, fill out form a form or enter information on our site.

    What are Cookies? 
    Like many companies, KNP Headwear Inc uses “cookies” and similar tools on the Sites to improve their performance and enhance your user experience. A cookie is a small digital file which is placed on your Device. The use cookies is a common and standard practice on internet as it helps to analyze web traffic and allow web applications to respond to you with certain personal preferences. Most cookies won’t collect personal data and will instead collect more general information, such as how users arrive at and use our Sites.

 

3.1.       What do we use Cookies for?
KNP Headwear Inc may place cookies or similar files on your Device for enhancing your web surfing experience.  They will help us to know such as visit log, your language preferences, or if you are new visitor or to otherwise facilitate site navigation, and to personalize your experience while visiting our Sites. Cookies also allow us to collect technical and navigational information, such as browser type, time spent on our Sites and pages visited. Cookies also allow us to select our promotional news or special offers that are most likely to appeal to you and display them while you are on the Sites.

In addition, the offers we provide when you visit us may not be as relevant to you or customised to your preference.

4.1.     Information Collected on our Sites

 4.1.1.           What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our Sites, blog or app?

When you visit our Sites, make an order or register, submit a resume, comments or participate in some promotion, survey or other features of our Sites, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email, address, mailing address, phone number, credit information, trade reference or other detail to help you with your web surfing experience.  The Sites may also ask you to provide other Personal Data about yourself, such as demographic data (gender, postal code, age, etc.) or certain information about your preferences, product use, and interests. Your personal information help us to communicate to you our latest products, promotion, special offer, events that you may have interests.

4.1.2.           Data Collected by Automated Means

KNP Headwear Inc may use a variety of technologies that automatically collect information including how the Sites are accessed and used (“usage data”) as well as the IP address and your device identification. Usage data may include, in part, browser type, operating system, the web page served, duration, frequency and volume of visitors, and the preceding page views. Usage data is statistical data which provides us with information to keep the Sites fresh and interesting to our visitors and to tailor content to a visitor’s interests. Usage data is generally non-identifying, but if KNP Headwear Inc associates it with you as a specific and identifiable person, KNP Headwear Inc treats it as Personal Data.

4.2.    How We Use Information Collected

KNP Headwear Inc uses the Personal Data and usage data for a variety of business purposes,  such as responding to your questions and requests, analyzing trends,  providing user access level to different web pages, customizing your view content, sending promotion news, new products and special offers, tracking traffic pattern, enabling  payment for products or services purchased by you and  process applications and transactions; and for purposes disclosed at the time you provide your personal data or otherwise with your consent.

4.2.1.   Information We Share
KNP Headwear Inc will not provide or sell or trade any of your Personal Data to any third parties without your specific consent, except as described in this Policy. We may share non-personal data, such as aggregate user statistics, demographic data, and usage data with third parties. Under some circumstances, we may share your Persona Data with third parties for purpose of providing services or performing functions on our behalf, such as companies or individuals that: host or operate our Sites; analyze data; provide customer service; mail product samples or manage payments; advertisers; sponsors or other third parties that participate in or administer our promotions or provide marketing or promotional assistance. When sharing your Personal Data with these third parties we require them to use and protect your Personal Data in a manner that is consistent with this Policy.
4.2.2.   Third-Party Disclosure
While on our Sites, you will have the opportunity to opt-in to receive information and/or marketing offers from us and from someone else or to otherwise consent to the sharing of your Personal Data with a third party. We may also release information when the release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or other’s rights, property or safety.

4.2.3.  Business Transfer or Acquisition
Your Personal Data may also be used by us or shared among KNP Headwear group of companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates for business and operational purposes mentioned herein. If another entity acquires us or all or a portion of our assets, Personal Data, usage data, and any other information that we have collected about the users of the Sites may be disclosed to such entity as part of the due diligence process and will be transferred to such entity as one of the transferred assets. Should such a sale or transfer occur, we will require the transferee to use the Personal Data and usage data in a manner that is consistent with this Policy.
4.2.4.  Information We Receive from Third Parties

KNP Headwear Inc may receive your Personal Data or usage data from third parties such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin or other application that you opt-in to be contacted by KNP Headwear Inc.  These third parties will share your Personal Data such as e-mail address and other Personal Data so that we may contact you as requested and allow us to enhance your web surfing experience such as customizing the web content or communicating promotional news and special offers they you may have interests.   We may combine the Personal Data we receive from these third parties with data we collect through the Sites in accordance to this Policy, unless we have disclosed otherwise.

4.3.    Your Access and Choice
You may always direct us not to share your Personal Data or, not to receive information or offers, newsletters, e-mails or other communications by: (i) sending us an e-mail unsubscribe@knpheadwear.com; or (ii) contacting us by post at KNP Headwear Inc, Attention: Customer Service Department, 50 Melham Court, Toronto, ON M1B 2E5, CANADA.   KNP Headwear Inc does not charge for processing your request, and your opt-out request will be processed within 10-15 business days from receipt date of your instructions. To help protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as requiring a password and user ID, before granting access to your personal data.   We will also conduct regular data house-keeping routine and we are under no obligation to store such Personal Data indefinitely and disclaim any liability arising out of, or related to, the destruction of such Personal Data.

4.4.    Links to Other Sites
The Sites may provide links to other websites that we do not own or operate. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites. You should also independently assess the authenticity of any website which appears or claims that it is one of our Sites (including those linked to through an email or social networking page).

4.5.    How We Protect Your Personal Data
We maintain certain administrative, technical and physical safeguards to help protect against loss, misuse or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of your Personal Data. Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.  Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.  All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

4.6.    Children
We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.  We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable data from anyone under 13 years of age. If we determine upon collection that a user is under this age, we will not use or maintain his/her personal data without the parent/guardian’s consent. If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected personally identifiable data from a child under the age of 13, we will delete such personal data from our records.

4.7.    Updates to Our Privacy Policy

This Policy and other policies on the Sites may be updated periodically and without prior notice, and changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised policy on the Sites. However, we will use your Personal Data in a manner consistent with the policy in effect at the time you submitted the Personal Data, unless you consent to the new or revised policy.
